At the end of April, myself and other Assurant colleagues headed to this year’s Global InsurTech Summit. It’s an event which brings together key insurance players, disruptive startups and technology innovators to showcase and hear more about the initiatives which are likely to impact the industry.

Here’s a quick round-up of what we observed...

AI, Automation, and Embedded Insurance

Like other events I’ve attended recently, AI was a dominant theme and how it’s being accelerated across the insurance value chain. From underwriting to claims, insurers are leveraging real-time data and machine learning to enhance efficiency and customer experience. The rise of embedded insurance—integrating coverage into digital ecosystems—was highlighted as a transformative trend.

This is something we have been helping our partners with for some time, when it comes to mobile device protection and connected living solutions, so that the end user enjoys a more seamless experience.

Personalisation and Customer-Centric Innovation

It was reassuring to see a lot of the content put forward aligned with Assurant’s commitment of customer-first innovation. This is achieved through using connected platforms and behavioural analytics to deliver tailored products and services, rather than adopting a one size fits all approach.

Strategic Partnerships and Ecosystem Collaboration

We’re proud of our extensive ecosystem and collaboration with strategic partners to ensure we can execute robust and comprehensive market-leading programmes. The summit provided a great opportunity for us to network with fellow insurers, startups, and technology providers, to explore how we can expand our ecosystem further to continually enhance our digital capabilities and service offerings.

By aligning with these trends, Assurant can continue to deliver value for our clients and partners, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the evolving insurance landscape.
