Mobile World Congress is the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry and we’re excited to be part of it for the seventh year running.

It’s always been the place where mobile manufacturers launch their newest models, and this year is set not to disappoint.

Samsung have confirmed they will launch their newest flagship device, the Galaxy S9, at an invite only event on 25 February. We can expect to see improvements to the camera not to mention the overall design and there have even been rumours of a foldable Samsung Galaxy X. Watch this space!

LG is expected to unveil a new smartwatch at this year’s event, whilst leaving the LG G7 until a little later in the year.

Other big brands including Google, Huawei, Sony and Motorola are expected to launch new products at MWC so we’ll keep you informed with what we see.

MWC isn’t just for new technology releases; it’s also a great place to collaborate with partners and learn how we can all create a better future through mobile. This year’s event has some exciting experiences to be part of:

4YFN (4 Years from Now) is the startup business platform of MWC that enables startups, investors, corporations and public institutions to discover, create and launch new ventures together.

NEXtech will focus on next generation technology, an area dedicated to the most forward thinking, innovative companies currently disrupting the mobile ecosystem. This hall adds an incredible destination to the show, featuring areas dedicated to specific technologies and platforms.

Women4Tech offers attendees strategic sessions focused on championing diversity in the mobile and tech industry, helping to transform businesses and lead the way to a more gender diverse ecosystem.

The Youth Mobile Festival (YoMo) welcomes over 15,000 school children from across Catalonia and Spain to one huge showcase of science and technology. This fun, free, and educational event will help them learn more about careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Design/Art and Math.

As a new addition for 2018, the Mobile World Scholar Challenge will highlight new and impactful ideas from the academic and research communities across the globe.

At Assurant everything we do is focused on protecting what matters most to consumers, while building loyalty and revenue for our clients. We are proud to attend Mobile World Congress for the seventh year running and be part of future innovations.
