Assurant launches new partnership with Odido to provide enhanced device insurance programme

We understand how much connected devices like phones, tablets and smartwatches play a pivotal role in helping consumers to manage their digital lives.

And if something goes wrong with any of those devices, they want the matter resolved quickly. Assurant has teamed up with Odido to launch an improved device insurance programme with boasts broader coverage, competitive premiums and faster service.

Exclusive access to the people who know their device best

Thanks to our long-established global relationship with Apple, the programme will also deliver a unique opportunity within the Netherlands market. Odido will be the only authorised partner in the Netherlands that can provide iPhone users with direct access to AppleCare Services features and benefits. This allows Odido customers to have certified repairs carried out at Apple Stores and authorised Apple service providers using original Apple parts. They can also contact Apple Support directly.

Coverage for a wide range of mishaps

Accidents happen. Whether that’s dropping a device in water or it going missing. Our new device insurance programme for Odido can provide their customers with cover for a wide range of risks including cracked screens, accidental damage, loss and theft. And our procedures are set up so customers will get help fast. For example, if a claim is approved between Monday and Saturday before 2:30 PM, the customer will receive a replacement device the same or the next day. Alternatively, if a customer damages their device and would prefer to keep it, we can arrange for a speedy repair to be made.

Standard and Carefree
The device insurance is available for phones, tablets, and smartwatches and offers two cover level. ‘Standaard’ covers damage, including accessories that are damaged or stolen along with the device. ‘Zorgeloos’ or ‘Carefree’ adds theft and loss to the coverage (loss only applies to phone insurance).
